MAHARASHTRA STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR LECTURESHIP (SET) SUNDAY, 12TH DECEMBER, 2010 CONDUCTED BY UNIVERSITY OF PUNE (AS STATE AGENCY) (ACCREDITED BY U.G.C.)
University of Pune, as State Agency will conduct 26th SET examination at Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nasik, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Nanded, Amravati, Nagpur, Solapur, Chandrapur and Panaji (Goa) centres on Sunday, 12th December, 2010. The forms will be available only “online” on the website http://setexam.unipune.ac.in from 06th September, 2010 at 11.00 a.m. onwards to 27th September, 2010 till 6.00 p.m.
Candidates should fill up the online application form and submit it online only. After online submission, a hard copy of the downloaded application form alongwith the DD & other documents must be sent to the respective Contact Persons of the SET Examination Centers (Addresses of Contact Persons are mentioned on the SET Examination website). Last date for submission of application form in hard copy is 01st October, 2010.
EXAMINATION FEE
1) For Open Category candidate – Rs.550/- (Including form Processing Fee)
2) For SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC/PH/VH – Rs.450/- (Including form Processing Fee) DD should be in the name of “The Registrar University of Pune” & must be drawn on any Nationalized Bank, Payable at Pune. Write your name, application number, subject and centre on the backside of DD. Before submitting the hard copy of the application form, the candidate must keep the Xerox copy of the application form and details of the DD (DD number, Name of the Bank, Date) with them. Candidate should send only one application form in an envelop. In addition to the existing subjects, the subject of “Management” has newly included from this exam. Candidates whose registration slip receive on or before the last date of receiving the registration slip along with D.D. (where ever required) through post will have to appear for Written/Skill Test except the post of Medical Officer and Trainee Officer (Finance). List of eligible candidates called for interview will be made available at www.nhpcindia.com & will also be e-mailed to such candidates. The final list of selected candidates will offered “Offer of Appointment”.
ABOUT WRITTEN TEST:
Candidates will have choice for appearing in the test in Hindi or English. The test
duration will be 3 hours and in three parts i.e. Part –I of 140 multiple-choice questions in
the concerned discipline, Part –II of 30 multiple-choice questions on General Awareness
and Part-III of 30 multiple-choice questions on Reasoning
RESERVATIONS AND RELAXATIONS:
01 Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / Persons with Disabilities will be as per the Govt.
norms & directives.
02 No registration fee will be charged from SC / ST / PwD category candidates.
03 All SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates with minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination are eligible for appearing in the test.
04 The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC. It is relaxable by 10 years for PwD- General, 13 years for PwD-OBC and 15 years for PwD-SC/ST candidates.
05 Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
06 SC/ST candidates appearing for written test shall be reimbursed single to & fro 2nd class rail /ordinary bus fare by the shortest route limited to the nearest examination centre to the mailing address mentioned in their application form on production of proof.

MODE OF SELECTION
The mode of selection for the position of Jr. Hindi Translator / Hindi Typist / Draftsman will be through Skill Test and Interview. Those candidates who will pass the Skill Test will be allowed to appear of interview. The selection for all other posts will be through interview only.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Online submission of application will be permitted on the website between 0000 hrs on
21.04.2010 till 2400 hrs on 15.05.2010.
2. The e-mail address specified in the application should be valid/ functional for at least 24 months from the date of the submission of application. Intimation for Skill Test / interview shall be sent by email. Kindly ensure that your email is valid and operational.
3. EIL may restrict the no. of candidates to be called for Skill Test / interview. Only short-listed candidates will be informed for further Skill Test / Interview.
4. Candidates should take print out and retain a copy of online filled in application form(s) for future reference.
5. Copy of the filled in application is not to be sent by post. The print out of application should be retained by candidate & four copies of the application is required to be submitted at the time of Skill Test / Interview.
6. Those short listed for Skill Test /Interview shall be intimated through e-mail. They are required to bring the following original certificates along with attested photocopies as documentary proof at the time of Skill Test/ Interview.

In case it is found at any stage that the candidate is neither meeting the requirements as laid down in the advertisement nor has given correct information while filling up the online application form, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and in that case no traveling expenses shall be reimbursed.
9. Candidates called for Skill Test / Interview for the post of Jr. Hindi Translator / Hindi Typist / Engineer/Architect /Officer shall be reimbursed to & fro 2nd class rail fare and for Sr. Engineer / Sr. Architect/ Sr. Officer/ Dy. Manager / Manager /Sr. Manager / Asst. 10. The candidate will be required to fill in the Travelling Allowance (TA) form at the Skill Test / Interview centre and submit proof for travel undertaken.
11. EIL shall not be responsible for any loss of email/communication letter sent, due to invalid/wrong email id/wrong postal address/postal delays/loss in transit etc. No request in this regard will be entertained.
12. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Delhi.
13. EIL reserves the right to cancel the advertisement and/or the selection process there under without assigning any reason.
14. Eligible candidates whose children / family members have died in the 1984 riots shall be given due consideration in recruitment.
