ADVERTISEMENT FOR WALK IN INTERVIEW TO FILL UP PROJECT POSITIONS
Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for positions as per details given below for the project ‘Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) IIT Roorkee’ sponsored by DST and appear for the interview on June 08, 2010 at 11.00 a.m. in AHEC.
Project Consultant ‘B’ : 1
Pay: Rs 35,000/- pm
Qualification: PhD with I class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 12 years teaching/research/Industrial experience after Ph D Or B Tech. /M Sc/M.Tech/MBA/CA having a minimum of 20 years working experience respectively in Industry of repute and who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
Period: 2 Years
Senior Research Fellow: 1
Pay: Rs 15,000/- pm + HRA
Qualification: B E/ B Tech with 2 years experience or M E/M Tech or equivalent degree in Engg. Age limit 32 years
Period: 2 Years
Project Fellows: 2
Pay: Rs 10,000/- pm + HRA
Qualification: Master’s degree in computer application or BE/B Tech. AMIE and equivalent with good academic records. Age limit 28 years.
Period: 2 Years
Project Assistant (Technical)-‘A’: 1
Pay: Rs 8,000/- pm + HRA
Qualification: Diploma (3 years duration)/Graduate Degree or ITI (2 years duration) with 4 years relevant work experience
Period: 2 Years
Note :
1. The person once appointed is expected to undertake extensive travel in the field (including hills) and remote areas for field work and prepare project reports.
2. Persons employed should submit their application through proper channel and at the time of interview they should produce no objection certificate from the employers.
3. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall e intend to apply.
Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit/produce the following materials at the time of Interview along with attested copies of marks sheets/certificates/testimonials and a demand draft drawn on the State Bank of India, IIT, Roorkee Branch (code no. 1069) or on the Punjab National Bank, IIT, Roorkee Branch (code no. 4044) for Rs. 100/- in favor of Dean (SRIC), Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee should also be attached with the application

Original and attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
