Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 03.06.2010. Casa J.D. 2. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Commission.
3. The age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto five years for Government servants and the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) in the upper age limit to blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped persons and upto 5 years for children of freedom fighters.
4. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, this requirement may be relaxed in case of below mentioned posts.
5. The Commission will draw a panel of candidates, which will remain valid for a period of one year
I. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE
1. Computer Graphic-cum-LCD Projectionist …… 1 Post (3rd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 40 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Degree in Fine Art from recognized University with specialization in Applied Art. (ii) Diploma in Advanced Computer Art from a recognized Institution with specialization in Multimedia interactive Application and Development Tools. (iii) At least three years experience in Computer Graphic-cum-Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)- Projectionist in teaching Institution/organization. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
II. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES
2. Junior Consultants
(i) Physician —– 4 Posts (1 resvd. for OBC 5th time & 3 for Gen, 1 for 3rd time, 1 for 5th time and 1 for 6th time)
(ii) Paediatrician —– 2 Posts
( 1 resvd. for OBC & 1 resvd. for ST ) (3rd time)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-. Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956) Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after postgraduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
III. GOA COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE
3. Lecturer in Architecture — 2 Posts (1 resvd. for OBC) (5th time)
(1 resvd. for ST) (2nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 8,000-13,500/- Age: Not exceeding 40 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:
Essential: (i) First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, with at least 60% marks.
OR
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and First Class Master’s Degree in Architecture/Planning, with at least 60% marks.
(ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
IV. LABOUR DEPARTMENT
4. Insurance Medical Officer (ESI) …… 4 Posts (3 resvd. for ST & 1 resvd. for OBC) (3rd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential : (i) A Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 or degree of Goa Medical School (Medico Cirurgiao). (ii) Completion of compulsory rotatory internship. (iii) At least 3 years experience in the Administration of Medical Care. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Experience in the general Medicine Practice. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
V. GOA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
5. Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry …… 1 Post (4th time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 16,400-22,400/-. Age: Not exceeding 50 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Ph.D. Degree (with first class either at Bachelor’s or
Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
(ii) 10 years experience in teaching/industry/research, out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with first Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and with professional work which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible
6. Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutics …… 1 Post
(resvd. for OBC) (2nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000-18,300/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Ph.D. Degree (with first class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. (ii) 3 years experience in teaching/industry/research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with first Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and professional work which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 5 years experience would also be eligible.
VI. DIRECTORATE OF PLANNING, STATISTICS & EVALUATION
7. Statistical Officer …… 1 Post (4th time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential : (i) At least Second Class Master’s Degree in Statistics/Operations Research/Mathematics (with Statistics) of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) 3 years experience in collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data.(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
VII. CAPTAIN OF PORTS DEPARTMENT
8. Deputy Captain of Ports …… 1 Post ( 3rd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential : (i) Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign going Steamship (valid throughout the Common wealth). (ii) Certificate of sight test inform-vision issued by the Mercantile Marine Department of the Government of India. (iii) About 5 years experience as Chief Officer in Foreign going Steamship. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi/Hindi. (ii) Knowledge of Inland Vessels Act, Merchant Shipping Act, etc. (iii) Experience in organization and development of major ports, inland water traffic, running of ferry Services.
VIII. GOA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
9. Professor in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering …… 1 Post (5th time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 16,400-22,400/- Age: Not exceeding 50 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential : (i) Ph.D. Degree with First Class Degree at Master’s or Bachelor’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology. (ii) 10 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research in the appropriate branch of Engineering out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/or equivalent. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Note: (i) Candidates from Industry/Profession with Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology and Professional work, which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years Industrial/Professional experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor as certified by the concerned University would also be eligible.
Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: For the above post appropriate branch means the branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter covered.
