FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE ADMISSION NOTICE (2010)
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES REGARDING APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION:
Candidates should fill in an application form only after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications. Application should be filled in accordance with the instructions contained therein (either on-line or on-print). Only one application will be accepted from one candidate either on-line or on-print.
A passport size [3.5x4.5 cm] photograph should be neatly pasted on the printed Application form in the space provided or uploaded for the on-line Application according to the instructions provided online.
Application forms (either on-line or on-print) should be filled up correctly in all respects to avoid their being rejected.
All applicants will receive an email giving each of them a Username and password for accessing information relating to the status of their admission process.
Candidates applying on the printed Application form should clearly write on the envelope the name of the course he/she has applied for.
Application complete in all respects should reach the Controller of Examinations, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune – 411004 latest by 15 June 2010. Candidates should note that the Institute will make no allowances for postal delays while receiving completed admission forms from the applicants.
Those candidates who apply on-line should send their declaration and mention their full name and course applied for at the back of the crossed demand draft of Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,650/- for SC/ST category only) drawn on any of the branches of State Bank of India or any Nationalised Bank, payable at PUNE. Drafts should be made payable to ACCOUNTS OFFICER, FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE. Remittance in cash, postal orders or cheques will not be accepted.
No application will be accepted without the Demand draft received at the Institute.
Those candidates who apply on the printed Application form should mention their full name and course applied for at the back of the crossed demand draft of Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,650/- for SC/ST category only) drawn on any of the branches of State Bank of India or any Nationalised Bank, payable at PUNE. Admit cards will be mailed to the applicants well in advance. In addition, Admit Cards can be down- loaded by all the candidates from the FTII web site www.ftiindia.com. The date from which these admit cards will be available online will be announced on the institute website in due course
No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination unless he/she produces the valid Admit Card to the supervising officer of the examination centre on the day of the examination.
The result of the entrance examination will be announced on our website as well as communicated individually by e-mail and by courier/speed post.
The Application processing fee is not refundable under any circumstance

Proportionate no. of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates and for persons with disabilities as per Govt. policy of reservations.
In addition to above :
1) Two seats are reserved for NRI / foreign students in each of the above courses.
2) One seat is reserved in each of the three-year post graduate diploma courses and in the post graduate certificate courses in Feature Film Screenplay Writing and Animation & Computer Graphics, for foreign students on Indian Government sponsored scholarships such as those sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)
Admission Test :
The Entrance Examination for all the courses will be held on 01/08/2010 (Sunday) (Date can be changed if there are unavoidable reasons), at the following centers:
Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Banglore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi and Raipur.
• Some examination centres may be clubbed together if the need so arises.

Exam Schedule

(A) The details of the Entrance Examination on 1st August, 2010 (Date can be changed if there are unavoidable reasons) are as follows :

5. One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing (Paper IV) Written Test in narrative aspects of films and basic aptitude for story telling. 100 3 hours
6. One and half Year Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics (Paper VI) Paper – I (Objectives) 20 ½ hours

How to Apply :

The prospectus containing the application form and other details may be obtained on request along with a demand draft of Rs.2000/- for General Category and Rs.1650/- for SC/ST drawn on any of the Nationalised Banks in favour of “Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India,” payable at Pune. Requests for prospectus will be entertained only after 1st May, 2010. Prospectus can also be obtained personally from the information and facilitation counter, Film and Television Institute of India.
Instructions for candidates
1) Candidates should fill the application form after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications. Applications complete in all respects should reach the Controller of Examinations, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune-411004 latest by 15-06-2010. Candidates can also apply on-line according to the instructions on our website.
2) Candidates should note that the Institute shall neither make any allowance for postal delay nor irregularity in sending the admission form.
3) Application processing fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1650/- for SC/ST candidates) is not refundable.
