Job Description:
Responsible for Creating and testing Backups, performance analysis and tuning, and some database design.
1. Responsible for error free programming & timely delivery of the project assigned to him/her
2· Helping programmers to efficiently utilize the database.
3. Understand and take requirements / tasks from the client / reporting manager, as applicable.
4. Verifying or helping to verify data integrity.
5. Defining and/or implementing access controls to the data. This involves adding and removing users.
6. Ensuring maximum uptime.
7. Create and update the documents of the databases maintained by him/her.
8. Communicate to the client / his reporting manager about the progress of tasks assigned, as applicable.
Technical skills:
* 1 year of experience in managing multiple SQL databases. (MS-SQL/Oracle/DB2)
* Programming skills – 1 to 1.5 years of programming on T-SQL
